Contract Manager - Active SC Clearance
Rate: Up to £735 per day, Ltd/Umbrella
Contract: ASAP Until 31 December 2026
Location: Hybrid, with potential onsite requirements in Corsham
Clearance: Active SC Clearance required
We are looking for an experienced Contract Manager to support the management and governance of a large, complex contract within a secure environment.
You will take ownership of key contractual mechanisms, provide commercial and contractual advice to senior stakeholders, manage risk and change, and ensure contractual obligations are effectively governed throughout the contract lifecycle.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain contract governance documentation, including contract guides, calendars, change control logs and risk registers
- Extract, allocate and track key customer and supplier contractual obligations
- Manage contractual mechanisms covering charging, relief, change control and commercial governance
- Draft complex contract change notices and supporting contractual documentation
- Review pricing variations, statements of work, work orders, indexation and milestone payments
- Ensure contractual transactions follow agreed governance and delegated authority requirements
- Act as a key contractual adviser to sales, operational and service delivery teams
- Work directly with customers and internal stakeholders on contract changes and additional service requirements
- Identify, monitor and manage contractual and commercial risks
- Support contract negotiations through risk analysis, drafting and review of contract schedules
- Monitor commercial and financial performance against contractual assumptions
- Support account reviews, performance improvement activity and dispute resolution
- Work closely with legal advisers on complex contractual matters
- Support effective handover of contracts into BAU service delivery
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience managing large and complex contracts
- Strong commercial and contractual management experience
- Good contract drafting capability
- Experience managing contractual risk, change control and governance
- Experience supporting major contract negotiations
- Strong understanding of commercial and financial considerations, including P&L and balance sheet impacts
- Experience of dispute resolution
- Strong project management and planning capability
- Ability to advise and influence senior stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving environment
- Relevant legal, financial, commercial or contractual experience
