Corporate Communications Executive
Bedford (3 days in the office, 2 days remote)
Up to £31,000 DOE plus 10% bonus
One of the World's leading consumer brands is looking for a Corporate Communications Executive to support a broad mix of internal and external projects. No two days are ever the same in this small but agile communications team. This role will play an important part in supporting the activities carried out by the UK Corporate Communications team, developing and enhancing corporate brand in the UK, ensuring various publics – as well as colleagues – know and understand the brand value.
About you:
This role will suit a recent graduate in Creative Writing/English Literature/Communications/Public Relations or similar, OR an individual with 1-2 years Communications or PR experience - who is looking to establish a career in Communications.
What you will be doing:
- Support the daily activities of the Corporate Communications team across external and internal projects
- Ensure regular and effective communication to colleagues that supports the company's vision, mission and values
- Help to sustain effective relationships with external stakeholders – such as working with charity partners, local initiatives, media and others
- Support the Corporate division in maintaining close alignment with marketing communications activities undertaken by other UK teams, supporting the successful delivery of cross-divisional marketing and communications projects to help tell the whole story
- Assist in the delivery of UK Corporate campaigns and activities with external partners – such as charities and corporate partners on local and national levels
- Enhancing local reputation and promoting new office as a facility available to community stakeholders
- Support the coordination of events, exhibitions and seminars
What we are looking for:
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent education or 1-2 years experience)
- Strong writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail
- A creative flair and ability to think outside the box
- Highly organised with excellent planning, communication skills and time management between regular “business as usual” tasks and projects as required
- Confident working in a small team and able to provide support to team members when needed
- A motivated self-starter with a flexible and positive “can do” attitude
- Confidence in interacting with management and abilities to communicate at all levels of the company to effectively seek out stories across all teams and business areas
- Engaging writing skills and excellent grammar
- An instinct for what great communication looks like
- Familiarity with Office 365 applications
