Location: NHS Wales, Cardiff base. Hybrid working.

Overview: NHS Wales is seeking an experienced Project Support Manager to support delivery of a nationally significant digital health programme. You will work on complex transformation activity that improves how health and care services share information across Wales.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support delivery of low to medium complexity projects within agreed scope, time, and quality.
  • Build and maintain project plans, RAID logs, and governance documentation.
  • Coordinate project activity and track progress against milestones.
  • Support business case development and updates.
  • Prepare reports, highlight updates, and papers for boards and senior stakeholders.
  • Manage risks, issues, and dependencies and escalate when required.
  • Support stakeholder engagement across health and social care organisations.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and controls.
  • Support budget tracking and basic procurement activity.

Required experience:

  • Proven experience supporting transformation or digital projects in large, complex organisations.
  • Strong knowledge of project management frameworks and controls.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders with competing priorities.
  • Ability to analyse information and present clear recommendations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working within NHS Wales or the wider health sector.

Working arrangements:

  • Full time, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Hybrid working with remote working expected initially.
  • Occasional on-site working in Cardiff may be required.

This role is assessed as inside IR35.
