We're recruiting an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of a major UK Civil infrastructure programme. This is an excellent opportunity for a project professional with a strong engineering or construction background to lead complex projects from initial planning through design, construction and handover, working within multidisciplinary delivery teams on nationally important infrastructure.

The Opportunity

You'll take ownership of projects throughout their lifecycle, managing programme delivery, commercial performance, contract management, governance and stakeholder engagement whilst ensuring the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance. Working alongside technical specialists, contractors and external stakeholders, you'll help deliver projects that have a lasting impact on communities and critical infrastructure across Yorkshire.

We're Looking For

  • Experience delivering infrastructure or engineering projects within sectors such as Civil Engineering, Construction, Water, Flood & Coastal, Highways, Rail, Nuclear, Utilities, Major Infrastructure.
  • Proven Project Management experience from project initiation through to delivery.
  • Strong commercial and contract management capability.
  • Experience managing contractors and multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and project reporting tools.
  • A strong commitment to Health & Safety.

Highly Desirable

  • NEC4 Contract experience.
  • FastDraft and/or Projects Online.
  • Chartered status (APM, ICE, CIWEM or equivalent).
  • Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geography or similar.
  • Experience in engineering design, asset management, business cases, CDM or cost management.

Location

This is a hybrid role requiring attendance approximately two days per week in Leeds or at project sites across Yorkshire. Please note: Applicants must already live within reasonable commuting distance of Leeds/Yorkshire, as regular on-site attendance is an essential requirement.

Successful applicants will be required to undergo BPSS pre-employment screening.
