Key Benefits / Salary / Funding
- Grade 7 salary: £39,424 to £47,779 per annum, inclusive of Oxford University weighting.
- Grade 6 salary for candidates awaiting Ph.D. completion: £35,681 to £41,636 per annum.
- Hours: Full time.
- Contract: Fixed term, initially for one year, with the possibility of extension.

Main Requirements
- Conduct experiments to characterize the susceptibility of metals to hydrogen embrittlement.
- Perform mechanical testing, including fracture and fatigue testing.
- Conduct advanced materials characterization, including SEM and EBSD.
- Carry out hydrogen charging, permeation, and desorption tests.
- Contribute to collaborative research and participate in research group activities.
- Prepare and submit publications to reputable academic journals.
- Liaise with academic collaborators and project sponsors.
- Expertise or interest in synchrotron-based research is considered valuable.
- Contribute to research addressing hydrogen embrittlement and related structural integrity challenges.
