Ideal Recruit is currently looking for HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for a well-established client based in Lutterworth. The role will include deliveries to their stores across the UK with an average of 2-3 drops of caged goods and some collections. The position requires availability on weekends, with additional work available during weekdays. Drivers must be able to start shifts between 1:00 PM and 11:00 PM.

Rates of Pay: PAYE

  • The rate applies for the first 12 weeks. After 12 weeks, the rate will increase, and it will increase again after 27 weeks.
  • Day rate midweek £20.00 p/h between 06:00-13:59 (from 14:00 afternoon rate applies).
  • Overtime after 45 hours £26.92 p/h
  • Weekend: £22.00
  • Afternoon rate midweek £22.57 p/h between 14:00-21:59 (from 22:00 night rate applies).
  • Overtime after 45 hours £29.49 p/h
  • Weekend: £24.57
  • Night rate midweek £24.02 p/h between 22:00-05:59 (from 06:00 day rate applies).
  • Overtime after 45 hours £30.94 p/h
  • Weekend: £26.02

Additional Information:

  • Paid assessment is required.
  • Fully paid breaks.
  • Holiday entitlement will be accrued during employment.

You will need to meet the below criteria to be considered for the vacancy:

  • HGV Class 1 driving entitlement (category CE)
  • At least 6 months of experience as a class 1 driver
  • Experience of driving refrigerator unit preferred.
  • Valid Drivers CPC card and Digital Tachograph card
  • No more than 6 points for minor endorsements
