Ideal Recruit is currently recruiting Class 1 Shunter Drivers for a well-established client based in Warrington.
Job Role
- Safely moving trailers and vehicles around the yard
- Coupling and uncoupling trailers
- Positioning vehicles at loading bays
- Carrying out basic vehicle checks
- Ensuring all movements are completed safely and efficiently
- Following site safety rules and procedures at all times
Candidate Requirements
- To be considered for this role, you must hold a valid UK driving licence (HGV licence preferred but not essential, depending on site)
- Have previous shunter or yard experience (preferred)
- Be confident manoeuvring vehicles in a busy yard environment
- Have a good understanding of health & safety
- Be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Pay Rates (PAYE-holiday pay included in rate)
- Monday to Friday - Day £18.09 / Night £19.50 per hour
- Saturday & Sunday - Day £20.90 / Night £22.00 per hour
