Ideal Recruit is currently seeking an experienced Lead Shunter for day and night shifts to join our client's busy team in Warrington. As a Lead Shunter, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating shunting operations, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of vehicles within the yard. You will lead a team of shunters, maintain high safety standards, and support daily operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate all shunting yard activities.
  • Ensure the safe movement and positioning of vehicles.
  • Supervise and support shunter drivers.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in shunting.
  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible approach to shift work, including nights and weekends where required.
