Warehouse Operative – Cumbernauld, Glasgow
Location: Cumbernauld, Glasgow, G68
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Shift: 4:00am – 12:00pm
Working Days: Monday to Friday
Occasional Sunday shifts may be available/required depending on business needs.
Ideal Recruit is currently looking for reliable Warehouse Operatives to join our client’s busy operation in Cumbernauld.
The Role
You will be part of a fast-paced warehouse team responsible for handling parcels and ensuring goods are moved efficiently and safely throughout the site.
Your Main Duties
- Unloading deliveries and removing parcels from trailers and containers
- Preparing and loading vehicles for outgoing deliveries
- Moving parcels around the warehouse using pallet trucks, roll cages and conveyors
- Sorting and transferring goods between different areas of the operation
- Checking vehicles and reporting any issues with seals or loads
- Inspecting parcels for visible damage and reporting any concerns
- Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and organised
- Working safely and following company procedures at all times
What We’re Looking For
- Physically fit and comfortable handling parcels up to 25kg
- Able to work efficiently in a busy warehouse environment
- Reliable, punctual and committed to good attendance
- Good understanding of workplace Health & Safety
- Willingness to work early morning shifts and occasional Sundays
Experience
Previous warehouse, distribution or logistics experience would be an advantage. Experience with pallet trucks or similar warehouse equipment is also beneficial, but training can be provided to suitable candidates.
