Our client has a vacancy for a pro‑active, people‑oriented Talent Specialist to join their team. You will work within the HR team to manage the full recruitment lifecycle, building strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business to ensure a positive candidate experience whilst supporting the business growth and strategy. The hours of work are full time, Monday – Friday 8:30 – 17:30.

Responsibilities

  • Build rapport with all stakeholders and gain a solid understanding of their needs when recruiting.
  • Manage the end‑to‑end recruitment process for both internal and contractor requirements, understanding marketplace and demands of roles and geographic areas.
  • Work with the Marketing Manager to post appropriate content on Social Media platforms.
  • Advertise vacancies through both internal and external channels, screen candidates and arrange interviews accordingly.
  • Actively headhunt passive candidates through online job boards.
  • Carry out candidate testing and first‑stage interviews.
  • Liaise with recruiting line managers to organise any further interviews where appropriate.
  • Be able to identify difficult vacancies and be creative in finding new ways to fill them.
  • Ensure awareness and compliance in recruitment practices across the business.
  • Minimise the use of agencies to fulfil vacancies where practicable.
  • Maximise posts on LinkedIn with appropriate content around new recruits.
  • Compile monthly KPI metrics for the HR Manager to include average days to fill and average cost per hire.
  • Lead both the weekly Resource Planning and Field Resource Meetings to be proactive in identifying future recruitment requirements.
  • General administration, including eligibility documentation and driving licences.
  • Support the HR team to prepare and send offer letters and contracts for new recruits.
  • Constantly think outside the box and innovate our processes, the systems we use, etc.
  • Contribute towards the HR strategy and be proactive with reviewing processes as and when necessary.
  • Support the wider HR team with the onboarding of new starters, including running inductions in the absence of the HR Officer.
  • Work with the wider HR team to ensure a smooth transition for candidates into employees through our onboarding process.
  • Coordinate the procurement of PPE and uniform for new starters.
  • Liaise with internal departments on future recruitment activity that may affect them.
  • General admin, including but not limited to filing and reporting.
  • Ensure all offer paperwork is approved and passed to the HR Officer in a timely, accurate and consistent manner.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality in all aspects of work.
  • Work closely with the HR Manager on any ad‑hoc projects.

Requirements

  • Proven experience of working in an internal Recruiter role.
  • Committed to providing an outstanding, customer‑focused service.
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships externally and internally with colleagues at all levels within the organisation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organisational skills – able to prioritise a wide range and high volume of activities and use available resources to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as a team player.
  • Experience of working in a fast‑paced environment and comfortable with dealing with ambiguity and conflicting priorities.
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make decisions when necessary.
  • Self‑motivated, shows initiative and takes action.
  • Team player with a positive can‑do attitude.
  • Proficiency on all MS Office applications, especially MS Excel with a keen interest in technology.
