Our well-respected and established client is seeking a talented, friendly, and enthusiastic individual to join their firm as a Compliance Assistant. This role is part-time, working 3 days a week in the office.
If you have previous experience as a Paralegal or Fee Earner and are looking to strengthen your knowledge within Compliance, this role could be ideal for you!
Responsibilities:
- Updating policies and procedures including AML & GDPR
- Responding to initial complaints and ensuring the process is followed
- Providing admin support within the compliance department and maintaining documentation
- Undertaking file reviews and managing the process
- Responding to routine compliance queries
- Monitoring and escalating potential compliance issues
Requirements:
- Strong legal background such as Paralegal, Fee Earner, or AML Compliance Officer
- Understanding of SRA rules and regulations
- Experience with quality standards like Lexcel or Conveyancing Quality Standard
- Attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Excellent time management
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently and in a team
- Calm under pressure
