An Automation Product Specialist role supporting the field sales team by providing product knowledge and sales support during customer visits. The role is home based with regional travel required and covers a broad portfolio of pneumatic and electro‑pneumatic control solutions, including cylinders, actuators, grippers, valves, air preparation and management systems, vacuum technology, flow control, and industrial filtration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records of activities using the CRM system.
  • Grow sales of the product range by supporting the sales force and their customers.
  • Understand and apply the value proposition of the product range to drive business value and increase sales.
  • Identify, research, and gain application knowledge for new opportunities for the product range.
  • Promote the product range by creating marketing material, training material, and identifying trade shows where the range will achieve exposure.
  • Develop strong working relationships with internal and external customers, consulting with them to solve problems from a technical perspective.
  • Meet and exceed targets.

Skills and Experience

  • Desirable: A degree in Engineering or a science discipline.
  • Required: HND or equivalent or relevant experience.
  • Proven track record of selling, specifying, or developing products within the machine and device manufacturing sector.
  • Experience, skills and knowledge of the types of applications found in automotive, food, beverage & packaging, and life science sectors.
  • Excellent communication and influence skills at all levels of the business.
  • Highly driven and passionate about making a difference within the industry.
  • Proven experience using value propositions to ensure customer satisfaction, increasing retention and customer loyalty to a brand.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Current passport as European travel may be required.
