Our client has a vacancy for a dynamic individual to expand their product reach and profit revenues by identifying new market opportunities, new customers, and business within target industry sectors. They are already operating in traditional automation industry sectors such as food and packaging, automotive, life sciences and pharmaceutical, semiconductor and machine tools as well as emerging sectors including energy, infrastructure and renewable energy. The ideal candidate will identify and explore emerging and non-traditional industry sectors to diversify and expand into.

As a Business Development Manager, you will:

  • Collaborate with the Industry Team Leader to plan and target the market according to company sales policies and personal targets.
  • Identify and target significant segments within the UK, aligning efforts with global initiatives.
  • Map target segments, including end users processes and OEM machines.
  • Join global teams to share information, challenges, and successes.
  • Identify and evaluate sector-relevant exhibitions, events, and journals, making budgeted recommendations to sales management.
  • Coordinate and monitor large potential opportunities using MQS data and success reporting.
  • Promote sector-relevant products and applications.
  • Identify end users and OEMs needing sales activity and communicate strategic importance to the RSM.
  • Drive new product developments based on customer and segment requirements.
