Family Solicitor

Overview

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Solicitor (2 – 4 PQE) to join their Family team. This role is ideal for someone with drive and enthusiasm to further their career, build strong client relationships, and help grow the team. The team is an expert in private family law matters, especially financial remedy proceedings and is praised for professionalism and a practical, personal approach.

Responsibilities

• Advises and assists clients in relation to their matters, ensuring a high level of client service is maintained at all times and that the client’s aims are met (subject to professional and regulatory requirements).
• Manages all aspects of the client relationship, from engagement to billing and chasing payment.
• Prepares and reviews legal documents ahead of hearings.
• Ensures compliance with all file management processes, including those related to file audits.
• Works as a team with colleagues to promote the interests of Howes Percival and carry out their role.
• Complies with all legislative and regulatory requirements.
• Updates and consults with Senior Associates and Partners.
• Manages client cases from start to finish.

Qualifications

• Ability to deal with straightforward transactions, including unfamiliar tasks that present a range of problems.
• Uses own judgement but may need supervision at differing levels of transaction.
• Identifies the legal principles relevant to the area of practice and applies them appropriately.
• Uses experience to check the information provided.
• Goes the extra mile and produces good quality work.
• Approachable and able to develop and build relationships with clients and colleagues.
