Our client has a vacancy for an Employment Solicitor (2 to 5 years PQE). The ideal candidate should be hard‑working, outgoing and a good team player. Experience of working in a city or medium/large provincial practice is desirable. You should have a keen interest in employment law and be able to discuss knowledgeably topical employment law issues.

Knowledge Of

  • Advising on day‑to‑day HR and employment law issues
  • Drafting employment contracts, policies, and staff handbooks
  • Handling and advising Settlement Agreements, Redundancy Matters, and Employment Tribunal claims
  • Supporting corporate transactions with employment law input (TUPE, due diligence, etc.)
  • Assisting with business development, client training sessions, and marketing initiatives
  • Exposure to both claimant and respondent employment work

Key Skills

  • Sound legal knowledge, drafting and advisory skills
  • Experience of undertaking advocacy in court/chambers/tribunal setting
  • Experience of presenting to an audience
  • Commercial, practical and financial awareness
  • Confidence and ability to communicate at senior levels
