Job Overview:
A lovely family based in Notting Hill is seeking two professional and experienced rota nannies to care for their 2-year-old identical boy twins. The children have been in a well-established routine since birth, having been cared for by two rota maternity nurses. The family is now looking for nannies who can provide continuity of care in a long-term position, with previous experience working in fully staffed households. The parents are very relaxed and easy going. While they do work from home and so the role will be shared care when the parents are around, the nannies will be responsible for the children’s day to day routines.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in rota nanny roles is essential, as is experience with twins around the relevant ages.
- Warm, bubbly, professional, confident and educationally focused, with a proactive approach to early development.
- Has a team-player mindset with a “muck-in” attitude and strong common sense.
- Given the family’s active lifestyle, they are looking for someone energetic, sporty, and engaging—someone who can keep up with two busy toddlers and create stimulating, fun, and educational activities.
- The nannies should have a proven background in supporting learning through providing engaging and fun activities which are age and stage appropriate.
- Experience with managing children’s routines, packing, wardrobe organisation, and travel logistics is essential.
- The family travels extensively throughout Europe and spends approximately two months each year skiing in the Alps, so experience of supporting on ski trips is key.
- The nanny must be comfortable travelling with the family or flying ahead to prepare accommodations to ensure they are child-proofed and well set up.
- The nannies need to have knowledge of developmental milestones and solid experience of supporting with changes in routines and transitions such as toilet training as the children get older.
Responsibilities:
- This is a fully staffed household, and the nannies will be working alongside other professionals, so excellent communication with parents and staff is essential.
- The nannies will not be expected to cook or do laundry for the children however they will be responsible for keeping the children’s areas tidy and organised. This includes the children’s bedrooms, playrooms and wardrobes.
- The nannies will help manage the children’s schedules and support their overall development.
- Fluency in English is required, and bilingual candidates (especially those who speak French or Italian) are highly desirable.
