A calm, professional family in Virginia Water are seeking a rota nanny to work alongside their existing rota nanny on a 2-weeks-on / 2-weeks-off live-in basis. This is a quiet household with no other live-in staff, and care is solely for their daughter, aged 4½. The family are looking for a nanny who values stability, professionalism and a nurturing family environment.

During rota weeks the nanny will have sole charge of the child and will be responsible for her day-to-day care, early learning and routines.

Responsibilities
  • Sole charge care for a 4½-year-old girl during rota weeks.
  • Managing her full daily routine, including morning and bedtime routines.
  • Supporting early learning and development in line with EYFS, including reading, early maths and journaling.
  • Keeping Tapestry learning journal updated regularly.
  • Carrying out school runs and escorting her to activities as required.
  • Planning and supervising after-school activities, outings and playdates.
  • Preparing healthy, fresh meals and snacks for the child.
  • Maintaining the child’s bedroom, play areas, wardrobe and belongings, and carrying out light housekeeping related to her care.
  • Liaising closely with parents and the other rota nanny to ensure consistency and continuity of care.
  • Providing flexibility for occasional travel with the family.
Ideal Nanny
  • Fluent English speaker with excellent communication skills.
  • Experienced professional nanny with a solid background in rota or full-time nanny roles.
  • Warm, calm and nurturing, able to build a secure and trusting relationship with a young child.
  • Highly organised and confident in managing a sole-charge position.
  • Strong knowledge of EYFS and early years learning, with a proactive, educational approach.
  • Discreet, professional and respectful of family privacy and boundaries.
  • A confident, experienced driver is essential.
  • Comfortable to travel with the family on occasion.
  • Pet-friendly.
