Job Overview:
A busy private family based in Knightsbridge is seeking an experienced and professional SEN Rota Nanny with a mature approach to care for one child, born February 2015. The role is within a fully staffed household and offers a high level of professional autonomy, extensive travel opportunities and the chance to make a meaningful difference to the child’s development and wellbeing.
The successful candidate will have experience supporting children with ASC and ADHD. The child thrives with consistency, structure and positive support, so the nanny must be confident setting clear boundaries, promoting positive behaviour and supporting emotional regulation when needed.
This is a highly professional role within a well-established household team. The child has two younger siblings, each with their own nanny, and the successful candidate will work both independently and collaboratively with the wider nanny team and household staff.
Accommodation comprises a private bedroom and bathroom, either within the family home or in the nanny apartment. The family regularly spend time in Europe and travel internationally during school holidays. The family have three dogs. A driver is not required.
Responsibilities:
  • Providing attentive, structured and developmentally appropriate care for one child.
  • Supporting emotional regulation, positive behaviour and clear boundaries.
  • Creating engaging experiences and activities tailored to the child’s interests and needs.
  • Planning active and outdoor activities where appropriate.
  • Supporting the child’s development, wellbeing and daily routine.
  • Carrying out administrative duties during school hours.
  • Planning activities, organising schedules and preparing for evenings, weekends and school holidays.
  • Working independently with a significant level of autonomy.
  • Communicating and collaborating closely with the wider nanny team and household staff.
  • Travelling with the family in Europe and internationally during school holidays.
Ideal Nanny:
  • SEN experienced Rota Nanny (specifically ASC and ADHD)
  • Professional, mature and confident in a fully staffed household.
  • Calm, patient and consistent.
  • Energetic, proactive and engaging.
  • Good sense of humour and plenty of initiative.
  • Confident setting clear boundaries and promoting positive behaviour.
  • Strong organisational, communication and teamwork skills are essential.
  • Confident working independently and collaboratively.
  • Happy to travel regularly.
  • Comfortable working in a household with three dogs.
  • Candidates with strong relevant experience in SEN childcare, education, behavioural support, youth work, coaching or similar specialist support roles will also be considered.
