Job Overview:
A family based in Belgravia, London, is seeking an experienced, caring and professional Live-in Rota Nanny to care for their two children, aged 20 months and 3.5 years.
This is a shared-care position within a fully staffed household, working opposite an established Rota Nanny on a 7 days on / 7 days off schedule.
The family are looking for a nurturing, energetic and highly organised Nanny with excellent knowledge of infant and toddler development, sleep routines and developmental milestones. The successful candidate will be confident working alongside hands-on parents and other household staff, ensuring consistency in the children's care, routines and development.
The family are seeking a long-term appointment and would particularly welcome candidates with previous rota experience and longevity in their employment history.
Responsibilities:
- Providing attentive, nurturing and developmentally appropriate care for both children.
- Establishing and maintaining consistent daily routines, particularly around sleep, feeding and developmental milestones.
- Planning stimulating, age-appropriate activities to encourage learning, independence and development.
- Organising outings, baby classes and social activities to encourage interaction and socialisation.
- Creating engaging developmental activities at home.
- Preparing fresh, healthy and nutritious meals for both children.
- All nursery duties are required.
- Maintaining excellent communication with both parents and the other Rota Nanny to ensure continuity of care.
- Working collaboratively with other household staff.
- Accompanying the family on occasional international travel, including Europe and the USA.
Ideal Nanny:
- Experienced in caring for babies and toddlers of similar ages.
- Previous experience in shared-care positions is essential.
- Rota experience is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of infant and toddler development, sleep routines and developmental milestones.
- Proven longevity in previous positions.
- Caring, reliable, honest, energetic and highly organised.
- Proactive and confident in planning educational and developmental activities.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
- Comfortable working within a fully staffed household.
- Flexible and happy to accompany the family on international travel.
