A family based in Central London is seeking an experienced, proactive and highly organised Rota Nanny / Children’s PA to join their staffed household. The family have two daughters, aged 13 and 15, both attending a day school in Central London, as well as a lovely Labrador who is a key part of family life.

This role combines tailored care for the two girls with organisational and administrative support, requiring someone who can move seamlessly between hands-on care, the practical management of two busy teenagers’ lives and the day-to-day demands of a fast-paced household. The successful candidate will be a capable, trusted adult who provides a steady and supportive presence while keeping things running smoothly. The girls have a range of hobbies, from drama to art to music to horse riding, with the latter being a sport that both girls are pursuing actively and regularly.

The role is based primarily in London, with regular weekends and school holidays spent at the family’s country home, as well as domestic and international travel. The successful candidate will work closely with the other rota nanny, the rota housekeepers and the Family Office team to ensure consistency and a well-run home. There is also an optional opportunity for the successful candidate to work alongside experienced EAs to develop their skills in this area.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring the children’s health, safety and overall wellbeing at all times.
  • Supporting emotional and social development with a calm, age-appropriate approach.
  • Maintaining routines, consistency and detailed records across rota changeovers and time spent between the London and country homes.
  • Preparing well-balanced, nutritious meals and eating with the girls where possible.
  • Caring for the children when unwell, including administering prescribed medication.
  • Managing the children’s schedules, logistics and daily routines with precision, including school runs, after-school activities and social commitments.
  • Coordinating medical, dental, educational and extracurricular appointments.
  • Managing day-to-day administration and anticipating needs, including school bags, kit, supplies, clothing orders, presents and cards for friends.
  • Communicating openly with the Principals, household staff, Family Office and external contacts where required, ensuring the Principals are kept informed about the children’s wellbeing and routines.
  • Travelling with the children domestically and internationally, preparing for holidays, weekend visits and family trips, including packing, travel logistics and schedules across both homes.
  • Overseeing the children’s wardrobe, laundry, ironing and mending.
  • Preparing for occasions such as birthday parties and events.
  • Caring for the family dog as part of the daily routine, including feeding, vet appointments and general care.
  • Keeping the car used for the role clean and in good order, with a full tank of fuel.
Ideal Nanny:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience, with demonstrated longevity in previous positions; previous family PA experience would be desirable.
  • Ideally, some experience with teenagers and an understanding of the distinct needs of this age group.
  • Strong organisational skills with a proactive, forward-thinking approach, and confidence using digital tools including scheduling, messaging and basic spreadsheets.
  • Calm, positive, discreet and highly adaptable, with high emotional intelligence and patience.
  • Kind but firm, with natural authority and good judgment across a wide variety of situations.
  • Impeccable presentation and professionalism.
  • Able to focus on the girls while also supporting care of the family dog.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence.
  • Fully flexible, including willingness to travel with the family.
  • The family has employed Norland-trained nannies thus far, but welcome all suitable candidates for this position.
