Monday to Thursday, 9:30am–7:30pm, and Friday, 9:30am–5:30pm.
Flexibility is required to adjust the Friday hours to cover occasional evenings.
The family would also prefer someone open to working one weekend day, Saturday or Sunday, every 4–6 weeks.
Job Overview
A busy young family based in South Kensington is seeking a proactive Full-Time Nanny to care for their young son, born November 2025.
A parent works from home and is closely involved in the child’s day-to-day care, so the role will suit a genuine team player who is comfortable working collaboratively while also being confident taking sole charge when required.
The family also employs another nanny, and the successful candidate will work closely with both the parent and the existing nanny.
The family have a holiday home in Sardinia and would be pleased to find someone who is able to accompany them on occasional UK and international trips.
Responsibilities
- Managing the child’s day-to-day routine, including feeding, sleep and hygiene.
- Supporting the child’s developmental milestones.
- Planning and providing engaging, age-appropriate activities, including sensory play, cooking activities, playdates and educational outings.
- Creating a calm, nurturing and stimulating environment.
- Keeping the child’s play areas and bedroom tidy and organised.
- Managing the child’s laundry and ensuring nursery supplies are well stocked.
- Packing and unpacking the child’s belongings for travel.
- Managing child-related arrangements and logistics while travelling.
- Accompanying the family on occasional UK and international trips, if agreed.
- Working collaboratively with the parent and the other nanny.
- Providing occasional light household support connected to the child, such as loading or unloading the dishwasher and assisting with occasional returns, while keeping childcare as the priority.
Ideal Nanny
- Experienced in caring for babies and young children.
- Confident working alongside a parent who works from home, as well as taking sole charge.
- Proactive, intuitive and able to read the room, knowing when to step in and when to step back.
- Discreet, organised and able to anticipate what needs to be done.
- Fluent English speaker, Italian speaker preferred but not essential; French or Spanish speakers may also be considered.
- Confident swimmer.
- Confident driver in both the UK and Europe.
- Comfortable spending time outside London and travelling to country or coastal locations.
- Able to work collaboratively as part of a nanny team.
- Looking for a committed, long-term placement.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Able to travel visa-free within Europe.
