A busy private family based in Knightsbridge is seeking an experienced, professional and engaging Retainer Nanny with a mature approach to care for their three children, born in February 2015, March 2017 and October 2020. This is a retainer position, requiring the nanny to provide sickness cover as well as holiday cover for the children’s Rota Nannies. The family is looking for someone highly flexible and adaptable, who can ensure consistency of care at all times. This is a fully staffed household, so the main focus of the role is the care and wellbeing of the children. During school hours, the Retainer Nanny will be expected to assist with administrative duties and planning for evenings, weekends and school holidays. The nanny must also be happy to travel, as the family travels within Europe and internationally during the school holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care for three children born in February 2015, March 2017 and October 2020.
- Be available to cover sickness and holiday leave for the children’s Rota Nannies.
- Ensure consistency of care and routine for the children.
- Work confidently on your own initiative and also as part of the nanny team and wider household staff.
- Manage administrative duties and planning during school hours for evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Travel with the family during school holidays, both within Europe and internationally.
Ideal Nanny:
- Experienced, professional and engaging, with a mature approach.
- Experienced with children of similar ages.
- SEN experience desirable, particularly with children with ASC and ADHD.
- Highly flexible and able to adapt easily to the family’s changing needs.
- Organised, communicative and a strong team player.
- Confident working autonomously as well as alongside other nannies and household staff.
- Previous rota or retainer nanny experience would be advantageous.
