Full Time Office based. Working hours are 5 days a week, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, and every other Saturday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.

£27,000 basic + £15,000 OTE.

Our client has been established since 2003 and has evolved from a small establishment to a progressive company moving in new directions and is still growing well beyond its expectations. They offer a range of sales, lettings (both council and private letting), management, mortgages, and guaranteed rent schemes (Private Sector Leasing via council lets). They are currently seeking an experienced Lettings Negotiator to join their team based in Ilford.

As a Lettings Negotiator, you will be responsible for managing the letting process, from marketing properties to tenants, negotiating rental terms, conducting property viewings, and ensuring the seamless progression of rental transactions. You will work closely with both landlords and tenants to meet their needs and ensure a high standard of customer service throughout the letting process.

What will your role look like?

  • Property Listings: Advertise available rental properties on various platforms, ensuring that property details are accurate and up to date
  • Tenant Communication: Respond promptly to tenant enquiries and provide detailed information about properties, rental terms, and conditions
  • Conducting Viewings: Arrange and conduct property viewings with prospective tenants, highlighting the key features of the property and answering questions
  • Negotiation: Negotiate rental terms between tenants and landlords, including rent prices, tenancy durations, and move-in dates
  • Tenant Application Process: Process tenant applications, including background checks, references, and credit assessments
  • Prepare Tenancy Agreements: Draft tenancy agreements and ensure all legal requirements are met in accordance with local laws and regulations
  • Managing Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with landlords, tenants, and contractors to ensure a smooth renting experience
  • Marketing: Use various marketing strategies to promote available rental properties, including social media, property portals, and other advertising channels
  • Compliance: Ensure that all properties meet legal requirements and are fully compliant with safety standards and regulations
  • Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate records, including tenancy agreements, tenant information, and property details
