Digital Health Consultant

We are looking for a Digital Health consultant to support with multiple projects, with experience across the following areas. An understanding of HIMSS EMRAM would be advantageous.

Core Technical & Domain Skills

  • EPR / EHR and Ancillary System Architecture: Technical understanding of how Electronic Health Records (EHRs) interface with basic systems like Laboratory Information Systems (LIS), Radiology Information Systems (RIS), and Pharmacy Information Systems (PIS).
  • Clinical Documentation Standards: Knowledge of structured documentation, Computerised Physician Order Entry (CPOE), and electronic nursing observations (eOBS).
  • Interoperability and Data Exchange: Understanding health information exchange (HIE) protocols and data warehousing. This ensures data can be securely shared across different hospital departments and external care providers.

Essential Professional Experience

  • Healthcare IT & Informatics Background: Multiple years of hands-on experience deploying, optimising, or managing hospital-wide clinical IT systems.
  • Clinical Workflow Analysis: Prior experience as a clinician (nurse, pharmacist, physician) or an IT business analyst mapped to clinical areas. You must be able to visually map existing hospital workflows and identify gaps against global benchmarks.
  • Gap Analysis & Strategic Roadmapping: Experience auditing an organisation's current digital health state and formulating a structured, multi-year digital transformation roadmap.
  • Healthcare Governance and Change Management: Experience navigating hospital leadership dynamics to drive clinical adoption, manage risk, and align stakeholders toward a paperless culture.

Predominantly remote, with occasional travel to client sites in the UK and internationally, as required.
