We are currently seeking experienced Biomedical Scientists / Laboratory Specialists with Oracle Health and/or Clinisys experience to support a major NHS digital transformation program.
The Program
Three NHS Trusts are deploying a single-instance Oracle Health Electronic Patient Record (EPR) solution, including the Oracle Health Order Communications (Order Comms) module. Due to competing demands on Trust Laboratory resources, including participation in a concurrent regional LIMS program, additional specialist expertise is required to support the successful delivery of the Order Comms workstream. This is an opportunity to join a high-profile programme and work closely with laboratory and clinical teams to ensure the successful design, validation and implementation of laboratory workflows within the new Oracle Health environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development, refinement and finalisation of laboratory workflows supporting the Oracle Health Order Comms solution.
- Provide specialist laboratory expertise throughout the design and implementation phases.
- Support validation activities to ensure orders are processed correctly through the solution.
- Validate testing and results workflows to ensure accurate and timely results reporting back into the EPR.
- Collaborate with programme, clinical and technical stakeholders to ensure laboratory requirements are effectively captured and delivered.
Experience
- Strong Laboratory Information Systems (LIMS) experience
- Experience supporting pathology/laboratory workflows within healthcare organisations
- Experience with Clinisys (highly desirable)
- Experience with Oracle Health (Cerner), particularly Order Comms, would be advantageous
- Previous NHS programme or digital transformation experience preferred
