Nature of the job role
The employer is in their early forties, vision impaired/registered blind, and active. They are positive and enthusiastic, with a love for music, family, good food and drink.
The role will involve providing practical and personal support to the employer, including assistance with day-to-day activities and acting as a sighted guide.
Main Duties
Duties to be Completed
- Accompanying the employer to the gym and boxercise.
- Domestic cleaning.
- Going for walks.
- Supporting with shopping.
- Collecting the employer’s child from nursery/school.
- Acting as the employer’s sighted guide.
- Attending open mic events with the employer.
- Supporting with any other reasonable tasks as required.
- Personal Duties
- Supporting the employer with day-to-day activities.
- Providing sighted guidance when required.
- Supporting the employer with attending activities and social events.
- Domestic Duties
- Domestic cleaning.
- Shopping and other household-related tasks as required.
- Social Duties
- Accompanying the employer to the gym/boxercise.
- Going for walks.
- Attending open mic events.
- Supporting the employer with other social and community activities.
- Hours of Work
- Weekly Hours: 17 hours
The 17 hours may be split across two roles .
Hours to be worked: Most commonly afternoons and evenings.

The successful candidate must
- Hold a full clean driving licence .
- Have access to a fully insured vehicle .
- Be willing and able to pass a DBS check .
- Be friendly and down to earth.
- Be punctual and reliable.
- Be respectful.
- Have a good sense of humour and be up for a laugh .
- Be flexible and willing to support with a variety of tasks.
