Nature of the job role: Support in home/community. We are looking for a friendly, understanding, and motivated Personal Assistant to support a young man with learning disability, ADHD, and mental health; to live independently and enjoy activities in the community. The role involves supporting a sociable and enthusiastic young man who enjoys music (making and listening), football (watching and playing), walking outdoors, cycling, going to the gym, cooking, and meeting new people. He is also interested in learning to drive in the future. This role would suit someone who is 25+ years old (male or female) and enjoys supporting others to live independently and stay active in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Prompt and support with household tasks.
  • Assist with shopping.
  • Provide companionship and support to access the community.
  • Participate in social and leisure activities.
  • Domestic duties – light household support as required.

Qualifications

No specific qualifications required; however NVQ Level 2 or above in Adult Social Care would be beneficial.
