A Personal Assistant is required to work as part of a team to assist with various tasks, supporting the employer to live an independent personal and social life.
Main Duties:
- Personal duties: To assist with washing, dressing and some support with toileting.
- Domestic duties: General housekeeping duties, such as keeping rooms tidy and preparing food and drinks.
- Social Duties: To support with shopping and social interaction in the community.
- Any other reasonable duties that may be necessary.
Hours of work: 6 hrs per week (can possibly increase to an extra 1 hour morning call x 7 days per week shared between 2 PAs, but this will be discussed at the interview).
Qualifications: Level 2 NVQ/Diploma in Health and Social Care or above.
Skills & Experience: The applicant needs to be a car driver with experience handling a wheelchair and manual handling, including using an overhead hoist. The applicant must also be trained in the moving and handling of people with limited mobility.
