Reporting to: Employer

Location: Castle Vale, Birmingham

Rate of Pay: Β£11.00 per hour

Nature of the job role: Working as part of a team. To assist with a variety of tasks which will support the employer in all aspects of daily living.

Main Duties:

  • Personal duties: All aspects of personal care, dressing, bathing and medical care, including tracheostomy care, catheter care, enteral and oral feeding.
  • Domestic duties: Preparing some meals, disposing of waste correctly, cleaning equipment used by the employer.
  • Social Duties: These duties may vary from day to day.
  • Any other reasonable duties that may be necessary.

Hours of work: 20 hours for flexible hours in the evening and weekend with possible one night shift. More information given on request.

Qualifications: Health and Social Care Level 2 NVQ or higher, Food Hygiene Certificate.

Skills & Experience: Only applicants who have experience of administering medication and are able to deliver a high level of care will be considered. The applicant needs to be a car driver and meet insurance criterion for legal purposes to use the employer’s vehicle. Experience of delivering a high quality of health and social care, including administration of medication, use of O2 and Trachi Training, NG Tubes is preferred. Applicants must be female due to personal care needs.
