How to prepare for a job interview at Ideal for All

Know Your Role

Make sure you fully understand the job description and the specific needs of the employer. Familiarise yourself with the tasks you'll be supporting, like personal care and social activities. This will help you demonstrate your suitability and show that you're genuinely interested in making a positive impact.

Showcase Relevant Experience

Even if you don't have direct experience in social care, think about any transferable skills or experiences you have. Whether it's volunteering, caring for family members, or even relevant hobbies, share these during the interview to highlight your capability and empathy.

Prepare Questions

Interviews are a two-way street! Prepare thoughtful questions about the employer's interests, daily routines, and what they enjoy doing in the community. This shows that you're not just there for the job, but that you genuinely want to connect and support them in their life.

Be Yourself

Authenticity goes a long way. Be open about your personality and interests, especially those that align with the employer's hobbies like Pokémon or ComiCon events. This can help build rapport and make the interview feel more like a conversation than a formal assessment.
