Location: Leeds, Harrogate, York up to Newcastle (Ideally based in Leeds or Harrogate area)

This prominent, longstanding, successful organisation is one of the major players in the production of a superb range of tools for metalwork including turning, grooving, and milling. They supply tools and tooling solutions throughout Europe and in order to further strengthen their team, they require a talented Applications Engineer.

Utilising both your technical and commercial skills, you will be supporting the development of customer relationships within direct and distribution networks. Working within the sales team and reporting to the Regional Manager, you will be covering the Leeds, Harrogate, and Yorkshire areas as well as the North East and should ideally live in the Leeds or Harrogate area. Supporting an Area Sales Engineer, you will be providing technical support and will be responsible for the promotion of a range of high-quality cutting tools and solutions to the Aerospace, Oil & Gas, and Automotive sectors.

Requirements:

  • A strong, technical CNC background with a first-class understanding of metal cutting and machining processes.
  • Experience as a Miller, Turner, Setter, or Operator is essential.
  • Comfortable reading engineering drawings.
  • Mechanical Engineering qualification or a technical apprenticeship is preferred.
  • Experience in Cutting Tools sales with distributors and direct customers is a plus, though not essential.
  • IT literate with first-class communication and negotiation skills.
  • A capable self-starter with a winning mentality.
