Wood Machinist in Cradley Heath

We are currently looking for a Wood Machinist/Sawyer for one of our busy manufacturing clients based in Blackheath. This job will involve the operation andmaintenance ofMoulders, Band Saws, Beam Saws and Multi – Rip Circular Saws on a busy Timber mill.

• Hours 7.00am 4.00pm Monday to Friday (38.75 hour working week)
• Pay £13.10- £13.50p/h

The Role of a Wood Machinist/Sawyerwill involve the following:

• Working with existing team on a busy Timber mill
• Manufacturing and production of Timber/panel Products
• Using hand tools and measuring tapes
• Machine operating i.eMoulders, Band Saws and Multi-Rip Circular Saws.
• All factory work
• Quality checking

As a Wood Machinist/Sawyeryou require the below Skills:

• Previous experience working in a wood production environment or similar technical roles such as Joinery or Engineering (not essential)
• Self-motivated and eager to learn
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Be a strong team player who can work well under pressure, use initiative, meet deadlines and prioritise your workload effectively

As A Wood Machinist/Sawyeryoushould have the following attributes:

• Strong work ethic
• Working knowledge of health and safety and good housekeeping
• A good understanding of English both written and spoken
• Experience Wood Working
