We are looking for a practical and proactive Facilities Assistant to support the day-to-day running of our Nottingham office. This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in maintaining a safe, functional, and welcoming workplace. You will play an important part in ensuring the office environment runs smoothly, handling everything from general maintenance to supporting internal events.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out general maintenance tasks, including minor plumbing, carpentry, decorating, and basic repairs.
  • Responding to facilities requests from colleagues, prioritising tasks and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Proactively identifying maintenance issues and addressing them before they escape.
  • Acting as a point of contact for external contractors, ensuring work is completed on time and to the required standard.
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance work, servicing, and equipment replacement.
  • Taking ownership of the overall upkeep and presentation of the office, including communal areas and workspaces.
  • Monitoring and replenishing supplies such as light bulbs, cleaning materials, and kitchen essentials.
  • Supporting the setup and breakdown of meeting rooms, events, and office-wide activities.
