The Programme Manager will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and execution of multiple complex programmes, ensuring alignment with Ideagen’s strategy, commitments, and goals. You’ll guide clients and internal leadership through the full programme lifecycle, from initiation to benefits realisation.
Responsibilities:
– Lead programme initiation, including stakeholder engagement, resource planning, and scheduling
– Define and document programme scope, objectives, and deliverables aligned with strategic goals
– Establish governance structures and ensure compliance with internal and external standards
– Monitor progress across multiple projects, providing consolidated status reports and executive-level updates
– Manage programme-level risks, issues, and dependencies, implementing mitigation strategies
– Oversee financial tracking, including milestone payments and budget adherence
– Drive programme closure activities, including lessons learned and benefits realization
– Mentor and coach project managers and team members to achieve best practice standards
– Represent and advocate for the Programme Management function across Ideagen and externally
Skills and Experience:
– Significant experience delivering complex programmes in regulated industries (e.g., defense, aviation)
– Proven ability to deliver programmes on time, within scope, and on budget
– Strong track record of managing multiple interdependent projects concurrently
– Expertise in resource planning, financial control, and governance frameworks
– Advanced stakeholder management and communication skills, including executive-level engagement
– Experience with Agile and hybrid delivery methodologies
– Proficiency in programme planning tools (e.g., MS Project) and MS Office Suite
– Strong risk management and mitigation experience
– Ability to lead and inspire teams, delegate effectively, and manage performance
– Prince2 Practitioner or equivalent (MSP certification desirable)
