The Privacy & Risk Compliance Manager will oversee the development of Information Security and Data Protection/Privacy policies, procedures, controls, and guidance. This role ensures Ideagen\’s compliance with relevant Data Protection regulations, ISO 27001, and other standards and frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Support the Head of Compliance in fostering a compliance awareness culture and monitoring the organisation\’s compliance approach.
- Assist the Data Protection Officer with GDPR compliance, monitoring adherence, and acting as a contact point with supervisory authorities and data subjects.
- Support risk management activities through the corporate risk register and Risk Executive Group.
- Create and review policies to ensure compliance with legislation and control frameworks.
- Monitor GDPR and mandatory training completion to increase staff awareness of data protection and compliance measures.
- Facilitate GDPR, ISO 27001, and data standards compliance through clear policies, systems, and procedures.
- Conduct ISO 27001 and other internal audits to assess compliance and support continuous improvement.
- Manage DPIAs, data breaches, and subject access requests.
Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated technical knowledge in data protection and ISO 27001 standards.
- Experience with risk frameworks and risk management principles.
- Ability to influence behaviours across all organisational levels.
- Proven track record of process efficiency improvements.
- Experience with international data standards such as FedRAMP, ITAR, & SOC 2 is advantageous.
- Broader knowledge of privacy frameworks relevant to US and APAC regions.
