We are looking for a practical and proactive Facilities Assistant to support the day-to-day running of our Nottingham office. This is a varied, hands‑on role suited to someone who takes pride in maintaining a safe, functional, and welcoming workplace. You will play an important part in ensuring the office environment runs smoothly, handling everything from general maintenance to supporting internal events.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out general maintenance tasks, including minor plumbing, carpentry, decorating and basic repairs
- Responding to facilities requests from colleagues, prioritising tasks and resolving issues efficiently
- Proactively identifying maintenance issues and addressing them before they elevate
- Acting as a point of contact for external contractors, ensuring work is completed on time and to the required standard
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance work, servicing, and equipment replacement
- Taking ownership of the overall upkeep and presentation of the office, including communal areas and workspaces
- Monitoring and replenishing supplies such as light bulbs, cleaning materials, and kitchen essentials
- Supporting the set‑up and breakdown of meeting rooms, events and office-wide activities
Skills and Experience
- Experience in a facilities, maintenance, caretaker or similar hands‑on role
