Lets be clear, this isn't any finance job. On paper, yes, it's a Finance Business Partner role. The kind a lot of qualified accountants could apply for. In reality, we're looking for someone very specific, Big 4 trained or equivalent, you've moved into industry, and ready to step into a role where your work actually influences decisions, not just reports on them. You'll sit at the centre of the business, partnering with senior leaders, turning data into direction, and helping shape where we invest, grow and scale. And one more thing, our finance team is genuinely rare. High IQ, high EQ, they challenge each other, support each other, and actually enjoy working together. If you like working with smart people who are also decent humans, you'll fit straight in.
Responsibilities:
- Own performance reporting for your areas, clear, sharp, and actually useful
- Turn numbers into insight, spotting risks and opportunities early
- Build budgets and forecasts that stand up to scrutiny
- Partner with senior stakeholders on decisions, investment and priorities
- Challenge assumptions, constructively, and influence outcomes
- Support business cases, ROI analysis, and growth initiatives
- Get involved in projects, from process improvements to business integration
You won't just be the finance person, you'll be in the room, shaping the conversation.
Skills and Experience:
- Qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA or CIMA
- Likely Big 4 trained, looking for your first or second move into industry
- Strong grounding in financial control, with a genuine interest in commercial work
- Able to communicate clearly, whether that's in a spreadsheet or a boardroom
- Curious, pragmatic, and comfortable working in a fast moving environment
- Advanced Excel skills, you know your way around properly
And importantly:
- You want to be in the office because you value learning, energy, and proper collaboration
- You enjoy working with people, not just numbers
- You take ownership, and you care about doing good work
