Overview
As a Senior AI Data Engineer at Ideagen, you will design and scale data platforms that power AI and machine learning capabilities. You’ll work within Product R&D to turn large, complex data into trusted assets for intelligent automation and analytics. You will collaborate with AI engineers, software engineers and product teams to set technical direction and ensure reliable, future-proof data platforms. You’ll mentor engineers, raise engineering standards, and contribute to advancing our AI strategy. This is a hands-on, impact-driven role at the core of our AI transformation.

Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable data pipelines powering AI models and ML workflows
- Own reliability, performance, and operational excellence of production data platforms
- Develop ETL/ELT solutions using Python, SQL, AWS and modern cloud data technologies
- Implement monitoring, testing and data quality processes to ensure trusted datasets
- Drive governance, data lineage, security, and dataset versioning
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver AI/data solutions
- Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering standards and direction
Key requirements
- Significant experience building, scaling, and supporting production data pipelines and platforms
- Strong Python and SQL skills with maintainable solutions
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (S3, Lambda, Glue, Athena) and cloud-native architectures
- Experience operating production systems and improving platform reliability
- Solid understanding of data quality, governance, lineage, security and auditability
- Experience or strong interest in AI, ML, MLOps or large language model tech
- Proven ability to influence technical decisions and mentor engineers
