We’re on the hunt for a storyteller, media wrangler and audience-obsessed communicator. You’ll be at the beating heart of PR campaigns that spark conversations and put our clients at the centre of culture and the media agenda. This role isn’t just about press releases; it’s about crafting unique and original news angles, identifying opportunities to hijack the news agenda and finding creative ways to write stories that cut through the noise and get a journalist's attention. With offices based in London and Dubai, our reputation for disruptive ideas, earned media strategies and pioneering social first for earned thinking has landed us work with over 50 PR, Advertising and Social agencies, and direct to brand work with the likes of Snug, GymNation, Frankie & Benny's, Ford, Vanarama and Nissan.

What you'll be doing:

  • Trend Hunting: Be on top of the hottest trends, talking points, cultural moments across TikTok, Instagram, Reddit and the media. Predict the future, look at what’s coming down the line in the media and how we can leverage the agenda for clients. Be proactive in sharing the hottest trends and opportunities with the internal team and our clients.
  • Media Relations: Turn trends into ideas and angles for our clients, proactively pitching stories, securing coverage, and managing press opportunities. Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, influencers, and media outlets across multiple sectors (consumer, tech, business, lifestyle, relationships).
  • Content Creation: Work at pace to draft unique and original press releases in our clients' tone of voice, media pitches, thought leadership articles, and social media content. Ensure all written materials meet editorial standards and align with client messaging. Source experts, stats, or social media reaction to supercharge ideas and angles for media.
  • Brainstorms and Creativity: Idea Farm is an ideas machine, so you’ll be feeding client briefs, attending brainstorms, helping develop ideas with that social trends led eye. Research, insight, and your work as a trend expert will help drive ideas and fuel content for client pitches. We are experts in trends and culture so you’ll be bringing this to the table for brainstorms and creative sessions with clients. Help get under the skin of client briefs, working closely with the creative team to shape ideas.
  • Campaign Management: Each month we’re pulling off new ideas and campaigns for clients - you’ll be at the heartbeat of delivering the work for clients - from shaping the idea, to creating the content and supporting on the media sell-ins. Attend video and photo shoots, events, helping steer content capture to ensure final assets will fuel our earned media angle. Help track, measure, and report on campaign performance and media coverage.
  • Team Collaboration: Keep account executives updated on latest press activity, social campaign performance and development of press materials. Attend regular meetings with the Idea Farm senior team, providing updates, insights and how we can improve our output and press office efficiency.
  • Client Management: You’ll work across all our clients at Idea Farm, adding value, contributing to client strategy development, providing insights and recommendations that support client objectives.

What we’re looking for:

  • 2-3 years’ PR experience.
  • Strong network of media contacts and proven success in securing quality coverage.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • A natural writer and storyteller with an eye for what makes a great news headline or a thumb-stopping social media post.
  • Social media savvy - you know how news stories can stem from social media and have an understanding of how we can feed into these stories.
  • The ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confident communicator.
  • Self-motivated and entrepreneurial thinker.
  • Creative with an eye for media opportunities to add value to client accounts - always looking for fresh, bold ideas to cut through.

Details of employment:

  • Full time.
  • 28 days holiday per year pre-approved holiday per year, but Idea Farm runs a flexible holiday scheme, if you need time off or fancy a break we’ll support you.
  • Normal working hours are 40 hours per week 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday with an hour for lunch.
  • Hybrid working from home / office (Office based at The Ministry, Borough).
