In This Role You’ll Have The Opportunity To
- Act as a trusted strategic advisor to customer executives, scientific leaders, and IT stakeholders, aligning informatics solutions to business and scientific objectives.
- Lead complex pre‑sales engagements, including discovery, executive workshops, RFPs/RFIs, and value‑based demonstrations. Develop and articulate enterprise‑level value propositions, including ROI models, business cases, and digital transformation roadmaps.
- Partner with Account Managers to shape account strategy, opportunity qualification, and deal execution for high‑value, strategic accounts.
- Influence internal strategy and maintain commercial awareness by providing feedback to Product Managers and Marketing on IDBS’ customers, competitors, and technology trends.
- Proactively learn how to configure and demonstrate IDBS software and work within the solutions consulting team to review and improve our pre‑sales materials.
The Essential Requirements Of This Job Include
- Degree‑level qualification (or equivalent experience) in a scientific discipline such as Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or related field.
- 3–5+ years of industry experience in Clinical Bioanalysis within pharmaceutical companies, CROs, or bioanalytical laboratories, including small molecule, large molecule, and ADC bioanalysis.
- 6+ years of experience in Solutions Consulting, Technical Sales, Sales Engineering, or Strategic Consulting, supporting complex, enterprise‑level customers.
- Demonstrated hands‑on experience using and configuring scientific informatics platforms (e.g., ELN, LIMS, LES, data or laboratory management systems).
- Proven ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders, including scientists, clinical teams, IT, senior management, and business sponsors, through clear, value‑driven communication of complex technical and scientific concepts.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements
- Willingness and readiness to travel both domestically and internationally to customer sites on short notice (minimum 25%).
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in
- Configuring software and/or using IDBS (or similar) products, Lab automation, SaaS, Cloud applications, and bioanalysis applications.
- Partnering with sales on account planning and execution.
- Fluency in any of the following languages: English, German, Dutch, French, Korean, Japanese.
