About the Role
In this role, you will support young people aged 16 to 25 who have experienced domestic abuse, helping them to improve their safety, wellbeing, and resilience.
You will actively promote the Young Person's Service across the Borough and develop positive relationships with partner agencies to increase awareness of and access to IDAS support.
You will also
- Provide practical and emotional support to individuals and families affected by domestic abuse.
- Support clients in making their homes safer and refer clients to other IDAS services, external agencies, counselling, or refuge accommodation where appropriate.
- Liaise with external agencies such as housing, health, social services, police, and legal professionals to advocate for clients.
- Refer high-risk clients to the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) and represent them as needed.
- Complete risk assessments and develop effective safety plans tailored to each client’s needs.
