We're looking for a Repairs and Facilities Officer to help ensure our refuges, dispersed accommodation and offices remain safe, secure and welcoming. This role will directly contribute to creating environments where people can feel safe and begin to rebuild their lives.

About the Role

In this role, you will:

  • Play a key role in maintaining safe, secure and welcoming accommodation for survivors of domestic abuse.
  • Oversee repairs, maintenance and contractor activity across IDAS properties, ensuring work is completed to a high standard and with sensitivity to those using our services.
  • Support the development of systems and processes to manage maintenance, compliance, and health and safety.
  • Contribute to IDAS's mission by helping provide safe spaces where survivors can begin to rebuild their lives free from abuse.
  • Monitor inspections and risk assessments, taking proactive action to keep our properties safe, compliant and well managed.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with contractors, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Manage resources effectively, working within budgets while identifying opportunities to improve services, strengthen compliance and enhance the quality of our accommodation.
  • Champion equality, diversity, and inclusion by ensuring services are accessible and responsive to the needs of all communities, including those who are underrepresented or marginalised.

Location: Hybrid working, based in one of our IDAS offices in South or North Yorkshire (base to be agreed with the successful candidate)
