About The Role
- Provide practical and emotional support to victims of sexual violence, including young people aged 13+ and parents of younger children.
- Support clients through the criminal justice process, including court preparation and liaison with police and CPS.
- Complete holistic needs assessments and develop personalised cope and recovery plans.
- Ensure clients are informed of their rights and case progress in line with the Victims Code of Practice, and deliver support around Criminal Injuries Compensation and special measures.
- Make referrals to specialist services such as counselling, sexual health clinics, and legal support.
- Participate in the IDAS helpline and respond to safeguarding concerns appropriately.
- Act as an internal advisor on sexual violence and deliver training to staff and external agencies.
- Champion equality, diversity, and inclusion by ensuring services are accessible and responsive to the needs of all communities, including those who are underrepresented or marginalised.
