Temporary to Permanent Receptionist & Hospitality Coordinator

Location: Manchester, M2 4WU

Salary: £26,300 per annum

Hourly Rate: £12.21 per hour + £1.47 holiday pay (£13.68 per hour total)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Contract: Temporary for 2–3 months, with the opportunity to become permanent

A renowned Manchester-based law firm is looking for a Receptionist & Hospitality Coordinator to join its team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced receptionist or hospitality professional to work in a prestigious legal environment, providing a high standard of front-of-house, hospitality and administrative support.

The role will initially be temporary for 2–3 months, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate, subject to performance and business requirements.

The successful candidate will work 37.5 hours per week, based on a 7.5-hour shift pattern, Monday to Friday. The firm's core business hours are 9:00am–5:30pm. Some flexibility may be required outside of these hours when events are taking place and additional support is needed.

Receptionist & Hospitality Coordinator Duties:

  • Answer incoming calls in accordance with company standards, transferring calls and taking messages where required.
  • Greet all clients and visitors on arrival and assist them in a courteous, professional and helpful manner.
  • Manage the Outlook diary and meeting room bookings.
  • Provide general administrative support to the office as required.
  • Provide administrative and organisational support to the Partners of the firm.
  • Manage filing systems and deal with incoming and outgoing post.
  • Work alongside other teams and provide support when required across the office.
  • Liaise with couriers, receive and distribute post, and coordinate with contractors.
  • Archive and deliver files as required.
  • Assist with general office administration and ad hoc tasks.
  • Support the Marketing team with in-house events.
  • Arrange breakfasts, lunches and dinners when required.
  • Order office and hospitality stock and complete monthly stocktakes.
  • Monitor and maintain all internal meeting rooms to a consistently high standard.
  • Set up conference calls and assist with meeting requirements.
  • Ensure the reception and hospitality areas are maintained to a professional standard at all times.
