Do you want to lead the technical delivery of advanced software solutions that keep the world’s power grids stable, secure, and ready for a zero-carbon future? GE Vernova is looking for an exceptional Delivery Manager to join our Electrification team based in Edinburgh.

The Software Delivery Manager / Technical Lead will own the end-to-end technical delivery model for our Wide Area Monitoring Systems (WAMS) projects, ensuring our complex enterprise software solutions are deployed to the highest standards of quality and performance. You will act as the technical lead, coordinating across cross‑functional teams to manage software deployment, operational testing, and infrastructure integration. By blending technical oversight with project execution, you will ensure our commitments to customers are met on time and within budget while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety.

How You Will Make a Difference

  • Leading the end-to-end technical execution of complex enterprise software delivery projects.
  • Driving the deployment, configuration, and operational testing of software solutions within secure grid environments.
  • Collaborating with DevOps and internal stakeholders to optimize deployment processes and resolve technical challenges.
  • Improving delivery performance through the implementation of measurement indicators and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Developing effective work structures and tracking progress to ensure projects meet schedule, cost, and quality commitments.
  • Fostering a culture of health and safety by championing EHS leadership and proactive risk identification.

Skills for Success

  • The ability to manage the deployment of interacting enterprise software and dependencies across diverse IT infrastructures.
  • Expertise in Linux and Windows operating systems and their integration within high-performance network environments.
  • An understanding of software delivery lifecycles, including project execution control and scope management.
  • A keen interest in grid stability, Wide Area Monitoring Systems (WAMS), or Energy Management Systems (EMS).
  • The capability to drive remote teams toward common goals while managing change effectively.

This is a permanent position based in our Edinburgh or our Stafford office. We have a hybrid working model which gives you flexibility to work from our offices and from home.
