Software Delivery Manager / Technical Lead

Overview

Lead the technical delivery of advanced software solutions that keep the world’s power grids stable, secure, and ready for a zero‑carbon future. GEVernova is looking for an exceptional Delivery Manager / Technical Lead to join our Electrification team based in Edinburgh.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to‑to‑end technical execution of complex enterprise software delivery projects.
• Drive the deployment, configuration, and operational testing of software solutions within secure grid environments.
• Collaborate with DevOps and internal stakeholders to optimise deployment processes and resolve technical challenges.
• Improve delivery performance through the implementation of measurement indicators and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop effective work structures and track progress to ensure projects meet schedule, cost, and quality commitments.
• Foster a culture of health and safety by championing EHS leadership and proactive risk identification.

Qualifications

• Experience managing the deployment of interacting enterprise software and dependencies across diverse IT infrastructures.
• Expertise in Linux and Windows operating systems and their integration within high‑performance network environments.
• Understanding of software delivery lifecycles, including project execution control and scope management.
• Keen interest in grid stability, Wide Area Monitoring Systems (WAMS), or Energy Management Systems (EMS).
• Capability to drive remote teams toward common goals while managing change effectively.
• Formal education in Computer Science, IT Networking, or Software Development is desirable, but total experience and professional achievements in software commissioning and technical delivery are paramount.

Work Arrangement

• Permanent position based in Edinburgh or possibly Stafford.
