IDMCS (part of ID Medical Group) is expanding our specialist autism diagnostic service and is looking to welcome experienced ADOS-trained Occupational Therapists to our growing multidisciplinary team. This is an opportunity to be part of a supportive service that is scaling to meet rising demand, helping to reduce waiting times, accelerate diagnoses and improve outcomes for children and families.

Who We're Looking For

We are recruiting specialists from the following professional backgrounds:

  • Occupational Therapists (OT)
  • Speech and Language Therapists (SALT)
  • Clinical Psychologists
  • Neurodevelopmental Nurses

You must be HCPC or NMC registered and formally trained and experienced in ADOS or ADI-R.

Role Overview

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside Paediatricians, Psychiatrists and Psychologists, you will:

  • Conduct face-to-face ADOS-2 assessments using the appropriate module for the child's age and ability
  • Record detailed behavioural observations
  • Contribute findings to the MDT diagnostic discussion
  • Support the consultant clinician in providing same-day feedback to families
  • Add a concise written summary of your ADOS findings to contribute to the diagnostic report (issued within six weeks)
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold safeguarding standards throughout

Each assessment is fully inclusive of observation, scoring, MDT discussion, reporting and feedback. Clinics are typically scheduled for four assessments per day.
