About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Service Manager to join a team in Warrington. This is an exciting opportunity to help lead a team of Specialist Advanced Support Workers, working alongside the Service Manager to support a young adult with a learning disability, Tourette’s, OCD and complex needs as he transitions into his new home.
The role is focused on promoting his independence and ensuring he lives a fulfilling and active life. He enjoys music, films, football, gaming, and staying active – with a home gym to support his physical wellbeing. The successful candidate must be prepared to engage in regular physical activities and provide tailored, person-centred support in a calm, respectful, and engaging manner.
In addition to hands-on support, you will play a vital leadership role—driving performance, motivating your team, and helping to create a safe, supportive and empowering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing and leading a team of Specialist Advanced Support Workers
- Provide high-quality support tailored to the individual’s needs and preferences
- Promote a culture of positivity, independence, and person-centred care
- Ensure services are effectively resourced and compliant with best practices
- Support behaviour management planning and implementation
- Lead by example, driving performance, standards and team development
About You
- Hold a relevant qualification in Health and Social Care (e.g. Nurse, Social Worker, SVQ Level 3 with supervisory units, or Care Management Level 3)
- Experience supporting individuals with complex needs and behaviours that challenge
- A positive, compassionate and resilient nature
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills
- Comfortable using basic IT systems (training available if needed)
- Commitment to delivering high standards of care and support
