We are looking for a Health & Safety Manager to drive safety standards, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of workplace well-being at our brand-new site in Rugby.
As our Health & Safety Manager, you will be a key part of our new site management team. You will oversee all aspects of workplace safety within our warehouse operations. You will work closely with management and operational teams to implement best practices, minimise risks, and ensure compliance with health & safety regulations. As we are opening a new site, you have the opportunity to set the standards from the start and to develop the policies and best practices that you will help us embed as normal ways of working. You will be a hands-on manager with a solution focus, be comfortable working at pace in a rapidly changing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and monitor health & safety policies across warehouse operations.
- Embed relevant procedures for risk and incident management.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and legal requirements.
- Develop and deliver training to promote a strong safety culture among employees.
- Investigate incidents and implement preventative measures to reduce future risks.
- Maintain health & safety records, audits, and inspections.
- Work collaboratively with managers to ensure operational procedures align with safety standards.
Proven experience in Health & Safety Management, ideally within a warehouse or logistics environment. Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations (e.g., COSHH, Manual Handling, Fire Safety). Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and educate teams. NEBOSH or IOSH certification preferred. Ability to assess risks, implement solutions, and drive continuous safety improvements. Strong leadership and problem-solving skills. High level of attention to detail. Competent user of Microsoft applications such as Outlook, SharePoint, Forms, Excel, Word and Teams.
