The predicted salary is between 45000 - 55000 £ per year.
You will be responsible for your own sites, completing inspections in line with Building Regulation compliance and the ICW Technical standards, identifying defects and areas of non‑compliance through initial instruction to completion of works.
You will also assist in the development, mentoring and supervision of surveyors progressing through the RBI process and scope extensions.
- Key Accountabilities
- Advising clients on building regulation and warranty related matters to ensure compliance with the Building Regulations, standards and associated legislation.
- Carry out inspections of work during construction to ensure compliance with the Building Regulations, standards and associated legislation on a multi discipline of projects and uploading / inputting site records accordingly.
- Carry out inspections on behalf of other Building Surveyors where the work falls outside their registered classification.
- Registered Building Inspector at level 2B and/or D.
- Chartered Membership of relevant professional body (RICS, CABE, CIOB).
- Experience of plan assessment and inspection of residential, mixed‑use, and commercial developments within Building Control is essential.
- Able to demonstrate a competent understanding whilst having the necessary ability, knowledge, and skill to complete the role successfully.
- Good communication skills both verbal and written with appropriate interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively manage a varied and busy workload.
- Able to work with the minimum of supervision, in line with established policies and procedure.
- Knowledge of environmental issues and relevant standards/legislation.
- IT literate with the ability to use a range of software programmes.
